The Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert uses radar to detect a vehicle in the defined blind spot in forward gears, and to alert the driver of cross-path traffic up to 45 feet away (about five parking spaces).

Radar-assisted Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) does traditional cruise control one better.  When traffic is slower, the ACC alters vehicle speed to help the driver keep a preselected distance ( a choice of 29, 44, or 66 yards).  When traffic clears, the desired cruise speed automatically resumes.
